Code of Ethics
The International Committee on LGBTQ+ History Months is a worldwide initiative that aims to offer an inclusive, safe, and welcoming space to everyone.
We believe in liberty and equality for all members of our community. We support and affirm everyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+ and/or queer.
We oppose all forms of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, economic status, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
We oppose violence, bullying, and harassment.
We devote ourselves to “leading with love”; to inclusion; to peace; to placing a chair at our table for everyone; and to developing committee policies that facilitate these goals.
We ask, therefore, that those joining our International Committee on LGBTQ+ History Months support these standards across all platforms both professional and personal, aim for these goals, and agree to this Code of Ethics.
Official Purpose Statement
The mission of the International Committee on LGBTQ+ History Months is to share knowledge; to support existing LGBTQ+ History Month projects; and to encourage new LGBTQ+ History Months around the world.
